A little bit about me

Originally from South Africa, I began my career as a Ballerina at the State Theatre in Pretoria before transitioning into Graphic Design. After studying Information Design and Marketing at the University of Pretoria, I worked at my own Graphic Design studio, Atala Studios. Upon relocating to the UK in Fleet in 2000, my focus shifted to painting. Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources including people, places, flowers, music, my children, and my Christian faith, I work with a range of mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolours, ink and digital art. My background in theatre, 48- years of Ballet and graphic design play a significant role in shaping my expressive style and passion. While I prefer to paint based on my emotions, I also enjoy taking on commissions and the challenge that comes with each new project.
